We will always be grateful for Dee Dee´s tenacity in assisting us in our hunt for our dream home. I think that she spent the better part of a year working with us until we found exactly the home we were looking for. What we wanted was a home with a "Great Room" concept that was not chopped up into small rooms, with a panoramic, unobstructed view of the pacific ocean at a price we could afford (not an easy task).
We finally found it! We knew at first glance that this was our "dream home" and the price was unbelievably low. The only obstacle that stood in our way was making an offer with a realtor that wasn´t returning calls. We found out later that there were four other buyers trying to do the same thing. Dee Dee finally went directly to the seller, who had no idea we were trying to make an offer. To shorten up an even longer story we are living happily in our "cloud home" on the San Clemente hillside watching glorious sunsets while having dinner on our veranda. All thanks to Dee Dee´s perseverance and expertise. She and her husband Denis have become great friends.

San Clemente Community History
Before the Spanish arrived San Clemente was inhabited by Native Americans that came to be known as Juaneño Indians. The city itself was founded in 1925 by a gentleman known as Ole Hanson whom then gave it its name after a Spanish town. One of the most famous landmarks in the area, the H. H. Cotton estate was owned by former United States President Richard Nixon. He acquired the home in 1968 and it has since become known as "The Western White House". The home was actually host to another President, Franklin D. Roosevelt during his tenure as the nation´s leader. This beach community sure has had it´s fair share of famous visitors and residents, a rich history indeed. San Clemente contains over 20 acres of sand beach and a 1,200-foot long fishing pier along with incredible views of coastal bluff and the vast hills. The city is also home to a large surfing legacy. Famous for its swells known as the Trestles surfers have come from far and wide to partake in riding the cities waves. The City of San Clemente is proud to be one of the safest cities in Orange County and is a great place to start a family.
